Came here with a friend coming to visit town from Jersey so we had to grab a drink in the area. It's located in the Hotel Commonwealth so it may be slightly difficult to find if you aren't a regular patron. There wasn't any availability on our first go around and we ended up grabbing drinks nearby. My friend put her name down for a 10-15 minute wait period - needless to say we arrived after that. We were bracing for another wait period but the host who took my friend's name down managed to get us in so we didn't have to wait again, which was very kind of him. They also hang your outerwear for you near the entrance with a number to claim it near the front. The service was very prompt (somebody was diligently refilling water almost every 5 minutes). Didn't get the name of our server but the Irishman was humorous and had excellent customer service skills. The place was loud but I could still hear what my friends were saying while we were chatting away, so that's another positive. The pina koala was a decent drink to continue the night and was pretty much what you want from a pina coolada. The Geisterzug Gose Rhubarb ended my night on a sour note, quite literally - I think I didn't expect such pronounced sourness from the gose. It did go down very easily though, so for anyone who wants a sour gose that goes down easily, this is the one. Overall, pleasant experience here. IG: Mood4foodeatery

What a great little bar/lounge we stumbled upon while in the neighborhood. Located in the Hotel Commonwealth at Kenmore Square, I was delighted to step into this classy, yet inviting lounge. It was late afternoon and there was only one other couple at the time inside. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. Friendly bartender immediately brought us a couple of waters. I guess he could tell we had been on a hike. Menu is filled with crafted cocktails, great wine and beer selections. Started with one of their craft cocktails, Thorn & Roses and then switched to their Rose of the day. Orders a couple of snacks, their 3 Artisanal Cheeses and Deviled Eggs. This place was so spot on, I could see myself giving it 5 stars on a subsequent visit.

Came back to this place after a few years and it's still as great as ever! I had a warming spiced scotch cocktail and my friend had a refreshing watermelon habanero tequila cocktail! Both were presented very well and had a good mix of flavors! Cocktails are reasonable at about $14 each! What surprised me was how good the pate was! Served with crusted focaccia and grained mustard, the pate was smooth and had almost a velvety texture. It was so good, I was eating it with a fork after the bread was gone. The service here was great as well! From the hostess to the waiter, everyone was friendly and we never had an empty water glass.

Extensive selection of drinks. I will probably come back to try some of the fun cocktails the bartenders were whipping up. The food on the other hand was just ok but this definitely is more of a spot for drinks and bites. Tried the Devilled eggs which was topped with radish, while it was beautifully presented I can't say it's one of the best. The Potato Gaufrett was chips with parmesan on it. Steak Tartare was probably the best item ordered but I am still venturing in to tartare territory. Like I said will probably come back just for drinks.
